A Healthy Skin is a Beautiful Skin

Dr. Alkaitis’ motto is “a healthy skin is a beautiful skin,” I therefore decided to start our weekly talk discussing stress.

Stress causes among other things:

  • sleep problems
  • depression
  • pain of any kind
  • obesity
  • skin conditions, such as eczema and acne.

It can suppress our immune system, raise our blood pressure and it can speed up the aging process. Unfortunately our skin is the only place that visibly shows our physical and psychological ailments and scars.
